A business can have skilled people and still lose time moving data between systems, repeating tasks and working around tools that do not connect. That is where my work begins.

I'm Ajita Gupta, a full-stack software engineer and ETH Zurich graduate. At cross-ING, I build applications, backend services and integrations across government, building technology, defence and industrial IoT. My goal is straightforward: understand how the work happens, find where it gets difficult, and build software people can rely on.

I also share what I learn through technical articles and my YouTube channels, Der Kleine Programmierer and The Modern Software Engineer. Alongside this, I'm writing a practical guide to finding a first tech job in Europe.

About Me

I’m a full-stack software engineer based in Zurich, currently working at cross‑ING where I build enterprise applications and automation tools for clients in government, building technology, defence, and industrial IoT. I enjoy working across the stack - from backend services and integrations to modern frontends and data workflows.

I completed my M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at ETH Zurich, and I love combining engineering with teaching and writing. I’ve published over 80 technical articles, created Der Kleine Programmierer to help teens learn coding, and continue to build personal projects that explore new technologies and ideas.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, swimming, badminton, strength training, hiking in the Swiss Alps, and discovering new perspectives through books and travel.
